My contribution to the HERO Initiative's Wolverine sketchcover series. I'm always very honored to be asked to contribute, and I keep thinking every year that it will be my last so I try to do a better job each year and each year I end not being happy with the final result. The material on these covers is not the best for actual ink, so my brush lines didn't lay down as well as I wanted and it was also hard to lay down the color without bleeding. Plenty of excuses, but this is what it is and I hope it brings in enough that they have me back again next year.
I wanted to put some different incarnations of Wolverine into it, and when it came down to it, to me, a guy like Wolverine would not be caught dead in leather or spandex, so I had to stick with the casual look. I hope you all like it, and look for it when they go up for bid later this summer.
